Phuket will hopefully start to seeing more tourists coming both Singaporean weekender as well as long haul holiday makers making stopover in Singapore. The newly growing low airfare carrier Tiger Airways has just launched a promotion offering flight from Singapore to Phuket at special price.
Tickets on sale until April 21st are significantly discounted with price starting at only 50 Singapore Dollars one way including tax. The same price is also applied for flight from Singapore to Krabi, Phuket’s quieter sister on the mainland of Thailand.
Local magazine Phuket Gazette reported their visit to Tiger’s website and found that return ticket Singapore-Phuket-Singapore for departure on April 19th and return arrival on April 21st was price at 195 Singapore Dollars, equivalent to 4,570 Thai Baht, all inclusive.
The country’s flag carrier THAI sells ticket for the same route and date at 474 Singapore Dollars, approximately 11,105 Thai Baht, including tax, but passengers have to waste their time for a transit in Bangkok as the carrier has stopped its direct Singapore – Phuket services years ago.
With a long array of offerings in term of fabulous tropical beach resorts, the Managing Director of Tiger Airways, Rosalynn Tay, said “We are happy to help holiday makers to enjoy those options in the most affordable way”.
Tiger also offer promotion fare for flight from Singapore to Hat Yai and Bangkok at Tiger’s promotional fares are also available on flights from Singapore to Hat Yai and Bangkok, at S$60 and S$65, respectively.
