OrBorJor or Phuket Provincial Administration Organization Hospital launch today as it fills by an queue of more than 200 people. They are registering themselves as patients. “The new hospital aimed to reduce burden of other government hospitals as they gained overload capacity. The OrBorJour bought the land and Phyathai Hospital building then renovated it as it costs 845 million baht,” said Manop Leelasuthanon, OrBorJor Chief Administrative Officer (Palad).
He explained if the hospital serves secondary treatment within its 190 beds while they operate 13 doctors, 40 nurses, 80 nurse assistants, 5 pharmacists, and 148 staffs. “Today we open health checkup. Inpatient and (comprehensive) outpatient services will operate on June 1,” said him. The hospital can accommodate 100,000 patients per year, said Mr Manop. “Equipment and staffs are ready to serve outpatients and it should be abe to serve 300 patients daily,” said Hospital Director Dr Yee Yitathasiri.
If there are exceed capacity, the hospital coordinates with Vachira Phuket Hospital. Patient transfer only takes 15 minutes, said Dr Yee. One of patients today is Chokchai Sittichok. “I came here for a health check up with my wife. It covers urine and blood test. It costs 800 baht for me and 600 baht for my wife. I think it is reasonable price,” said him. “I am a Phuket resident and know that this hospital was left unoccupied for a very long time. I am happy that the OrBorJor has turned it into a facility with advanced medical equipment. “When people are sick, they need to be confident in the treatment they will receive,” he added.
