This year Phuket will mark its island by last stage of FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour, Phuket Thailand Open. It worked by PTT on November 1st to 6th while this famous event is being springboard for Thai teams in World Tour 2012. It is a rare chance within these 10 years for Thai teams except favorable result in Phuket.

However next year sponsorship support crowned at least two teams a chance to compete on FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour. Beach Volleyball coach Petcharat Putsorn will organize Thailand teams for World Tour 2012 as he has worked for Thailand Volleyball Association. “Both teams will follow Phuket Thailand Open as a springboard to test local girls’ ability against world’s top teams. If we can achieve this goal, we can determine our ability to make a progress next year,” said Petcharat.

“It won’t be easy to take first round on the tour. We will play in qualification round without ranking points. This year being a chance to collect point as much as possible for 2012 competition so we can launch strong challenge in 2013 within the goal of including at least two teams in world’s top 50,” said Petcharat. Thailand hopefully proposed three teams into main draw of Phuket Thailand Open. The pair teams are Kamoltip Kulna and Varapatsorn Radarong, Jarunee Sannok and Usa Tenpaksee, and Tanarattha Udomchavee and Rumpaipruet Numwong.

One of senior member in Thai team is Kamoltip Kulna. She said, “We had been trained hard for tournament in Phuket and Sea Games. Further we are confident for surprising chances. However a lot depends on the draw though I am sure if Thai beach volley fans will give huge motivation for us,” said her.
