Phuket Custom officers caught 47,000 liters of illegal diesel on two Taiwanese boats in the eastern coastal of Phuket Sunday. The smuggled diesel was worth 21 million baht. Both boats are entitled ChingChunFa 168 and the Chi Tsai 16 were caught around two miles in the northern side of Taphao Yai Island on Sunday said the Royal Thai Customs Investigations and Suppression Bureau director, Rakop Srisupa-at.
Sunday’s raid was caught this smuggling operation. “There are around 100 legal fishing boats in Andaman Coast. Some of them made to smuggle diesel while they are difficult to catch as they appears as usual fishing boats,” said him. The raid also caught Ching ChunFa 168 captain and his three crews along with Chi Tsai 16 captain and his crews. “Custom officials have brought them for judgment,” said Mr Rakop. “Smugglers were selling illegal imported diesel as it is on decline. There is no much difference than the illegal one with the normal diesel’ price,” added him.
