Phuket medical staff joined flood aid efforts in crashed Ayutthaya province. This first Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) from the Phuket Public Health Office (PPHO) led by Dr Weerasak Lorthongkham reached the flood zone on October 5th. They are in charge for 10 days, said PPHO deputy director Dr Wiwat Seetamanotch.

Phuket City Municipality had designed four temples in their effort to prevent the spread of dengue fever. Phuket Town Mayor Somjai Suwansupapana told MCOT news agency had been confirmed 693 cases of dengue in this city.
