New bus service connecting Phuket International Airport with Kata via Patong will be launched on March, as said by Chief of Phuket Land Transportation Office (PLTO), Teerayut Prasertphol. This determination despite violent reaction from taxi and tuk-tuk drivers was a vision to solve traffic problems which have become a very big issue in Phuket.

The median strip in front of Phuket Provincial Bus Terminal 2 could not wait to get the buses transfusion after its 19 months delay. However this site is a development of vague current terminal in Phuket Town as it was lost any statement to be a geographical chain.

Tuk-Tuk Drivers Protest Patong One-Way

Over 100 Phuket tuk-tuk drivers delivered their protest at Kathu Police Station yesterday afternnon to call for changes about the new one-way system in Patong. Kathu Deputy Superintendent Lt Col Kittipong Klaikaew took 45 of them into a meeting room at the station to hear their complaint.
