On Saturday Cherng Talay officially got its mayor through an election that chose Suniran Rachatapreuk. “The election result delivered to the Election Commission Thailand in Bangkok yesterday (5/6),” said the Director of the Phuket Election, Kitipong Thiengkunakrit to the Phuket Gazette.

Cherng Talay residences today (4/6) put their ballots for a new mayor and six council members. Suniran Rachatapreuk, 48 is being candidate for this election as he had worked as Cherng Talay mayor since July 1999. His opponent named Somsak Sophanon (51) who served as Cherng Talay Municipality Council member between 2003 and 2007.
